Clinux Base

Clinux Base is the core of the Clinux operating system, written entirely from scratch in C. It’s a text-based console OS that acts as the “kernel” for the entire Clinux ecosystem. Features include:

• A built-in command shell with essential commands (help, ls, touch, write, cat, echo, exit)

• A virtual file system for creating, reading, and writing files

• A user account system with login and session management

• Modular architecture to support future expansion (GUI, apps, process simulation)

All official Clinux distributions must be built on top of Clinux Base, making it the foundational layer of the OS—similar to how Linux serves as the kernel for Linux distros.
